Except Geofront didn't seem to have the capability to check the translation, instead focusing on just presenting it better in English, because translation errors present in Guren's version were cleaned up in Geofront's version while still retaining the same mistranslations.

Which is kind of why Geofront's patch happened to begin with. The other half is that Geofront's patch was based on Guren's old patch, which was an incredibly rough patch that severely lacked both TLC and editing. Yeah, that's a problem, but the thing is that those deliberate changes are only one half of it.
